Hosting your own private paint party event

 

Paint Hive Studio private parties are great for all types of events! Choose your favorite painting from our library or have us create a custom one for a fee. We will provide all the supplies: paint, brushes, canvases, easels, aprons, and FREE RAFFLE TICKETS to play Spinner BEE are all included. (Tables, chairs, drinks, & food are not included in the cost.) We do not accept any sort of promos or discounts towards our private parties. 

 

Every ticket purchase is your commitment to host a sip and paint party. We use the funds to hire artists, support team members, buy supplies, pay venues, travel expenses, etc. In the event that you want to change your appointment, we will give our earnest effort to accommodate your requests, certain circumstances may prevent a favorable outcome. 

 

Day of event Cancellations WILL NOT BE GRANTED ANY REFUNDS or TRANSFERS - we have already spent the fees for your party. Thank you for your understanding. 

Party Protocol

Paint Hive Studio (PHS

  • will facilitate your private event at your designated location.

  • will provide a talented art entertainer to paint with your guests.

  • will provide acrylic paint, canvas, brushes, aprons, easels and disposable black table covers (you may opt out of table covers).

  • will arrive 1 hour early to set up and stay 30+ minutes to clean up.

Host(ess)/Client

  • will read and agree to FAQs and Terms & Conditions documents.

  • will provide and set up chairs and tables.

  • will allow enough space for our 2 floor easels and 1 - 6ft table (appx 8’ x 10’ space)

  • will allow us to back into the driveway for unloading and reloading our vehicle.

  • will have guests ready to paint at scheduled party time.

  • will have read guests minimum. 

 

  • All registrations will be made by the host(ess)/client on behalf of guests. We cannot accept individual payments.

  • PHS will have a secure payment system to complete the deposit and balance payment (CashApp, Venmo, Zelle, QuickBooks).

  • It is the host’s responsibility to collect funds from guests in time to make payments at necessary due dates.

  • All events must be booked and/or balance paid 7 days before the event to allow enough time to prepare for the event.

  • All payments will be made by the host(ess)/client on behalf of guests with electronic payment or by phone payment.

  • If less than minimum are registered, the host(ess)/client will be responsible to pay the minimum balance.

  • Event will not take place unless the full balance is paid no less than 48 hours before the start of the event and there are no allowable refunds or transfers of previous payments.

  • The host(ess)/client may serve any refreshments of choice on their private property.  

  • NO BYOB IN PUBLIC VENUES. Food and Beverage purchases must take place in public venues. 

  • When the host(ess)/client secures a venue, they are responsible for obtaining prior permission from the location.

  • Host(ess)/client assumes all liability for hosting the paint party at a self designated venue. 

  • No open containers will leave the premises. No underage drinking is allowed. Underage drinking is grounds for immediate cancellation.

  • It is important for the event to start and end on time. We will arrive 1 hour prior for the party setup.

  • Host(ess)/client is responsible for informing guests that we will start and finish at the scheduled time.

  • We will provide aprons for all of your guests.  We will not assume any responsibility for guests' negligence:  paint on clothing, furnishings or any other personal items during the event.

  • We will clean up whatever we brought to your event.

Guest Minimums:

  • Adult parties:  Parties located LESS  than 30 miles away from 92570 - 12 guests minimum

  • Adult parties:  Parties located MORE than 30 miles away from 92570 - 25 guests minimum

  • Kids parties:  Kids parties are generally local and are 10 guests minimum.  Please inquired about kids parties in outer regions.

BOOKING FEE POLICY for all types of events – Local Events

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY for all types of events – Local Events

  •  LOCAL PAINT EVENTS (within 150 miles from 92570)

  • $140.00 - Hold the Date Adult Party. NON-REFUNDABLE

  • $100.00 - Hold the Date Kids Party. NON-REFUNDABLE

  • $240.00 - Hold the Date Team Builder or Fundraiser. NON-REFUNDABLE

  • Balance due 7 days before event.

  • Refunds within 48 hours of scheduling minus any booking fees.

  • No refunds after 48 hours. All payments can apply to a rescheduled event held within 30 days.

  • The request MUST BE DONE VIA EMAIL to https://www.painthivestudio.com/contact

  • There is a $75.00 reschedule fee that will be due at the time of reschedule.

  • NO refunds for "No Shows or Late Shows".

  • Last minute parties scheduled within a 7-day window will not qualify for a refund.  Fees can be applied to rescheduled held within 30 days.

  • In the event Paint Hive Studio cancels a date due to unforeseen circumstances... we will issue a refund.

 

  • OUT OF AREA OR STATE PAINT EVENTS (more than 100 miles from 92570) 

  • Requires min 100 guests 

  • $40.00 each = $4000.00 

  • $240.00 TO HOLD YOUR DATE - NON-REFUNDABLE 

  • Balance due 30 days before event. 

  • We firmly require a 30-day cancellation notice before your event to grant a partial refund or a reschedule date (refund excludes the non-refundable deposit and payment processing fees) - use email only to make requests https://www.painthivestudio.com/contact. There will be a $75.00 fee to make changes. 

  • Your non-refundable deposit can be forwarded and applied to your rescheduled event held within 30 days of the original booking. There is a $75.00 fee to reschedule. 

  • NO refunds for "No Shows or Late Shows". 

  • Walk-ins are welcome if space and supplies permit. 

  • ****NOTE**** Any party booked within the 30-day window will not qualify for full cancellation refunds - fees may be transferred to another date and will incur an additional quoted amount.

  • When Paint Hive Studio cancels any paint sessions due to unforeseen circumstances or low enrollment, you may request a full refund (cost and fees) or credit to future events.

Joining a “Public Venue” Paint Hive Studio Event  - please read!

  • Visit our "Upcoming Event"  page to purchase tickets to join us at a public venue to paint. 

  • Full refund for cancellations made 48 hours prior to the event. 

  • Store Credit for cancellation requests within 48 hours of the event.

Joining a "Public Online Virtual" Paint Event  - please read!

  • Visit our "Upcoming Event" page to purchase tickets for a public virtual offer and shop for supplies here. 

  • Cancellations must be made 48 hours prior to the event to receive full credit to a future event - store credit after that.

  • If paint sessions are cancelled for any unforeseen circumstance or low enrollment, you may request a full refund (cost and fees) or credit to future events.

Weather Forecast and Unlawful Activity:

  • Paint Hive Studio standardly reviews weather forecasts and we will not agree to schedule an outdoor event during harsh weather conditions.  Proper shade coverage for all is required!

  • Paint Hive Studio reserves the right to stop and cancel any scheduled outdoor events if due to inclement weather.  Prorated refunds for this occurrence.

  • Paint Hive Studio reserves the right to stop and cancel any events when there is threat or any malicious or unlawful activity present.  There will be NO refunds for this occurrence.

Pay at the Door:

  • Many times we will bring a few extra painting sets up for the late-comers.  Anyone who joins your party will have to pay $40.00 at the door.

OVERTIME FEES:

  • $25.00 per half hour.  If your party runs outside of your scheduled slot we will need to collect overtime fees. 

TRAVEL FEES:

  • $30 travel fee 0 to 30 miles. From 92570

  • $50 travel fee 31 to 50 miles. From 92570​

  • Additional $1.00 per mile for events more than 51 miles away from 92570

Do you do Virtual Events?

 

Yes. We facilitate virtual events online. Our current platform is ZOOM. Check our “Virtual Parties” tab for more information on ZOOM or Public Venue events. We also do private and public virtual events.

 

Can you do a private mobile paint party at my house or other location?

 

Yes, we certainly can! We specialize in bringing the paint party to where you are. We will supply all art supplies, aprons and table covers, but you will need to provide tables, chairs, and refreshments for your guests. There is also a travel fee associated with mobile private events.

 

Do you have class-time flexibility?

 

Yes. The paint parties are generally held on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday and occasional weekdays by appt.

 

Event start time can be flexible for private parties. Public parties are pre-scheduled times and cannot be changed. All events are required to have a minimum enrollment, or it will be cancelled and/or rescheduled. So, get friends and family to join you!

 

How early should I arrive to a public event?

 

It is best to arrive 15-30 minutes prior to the event start time. Arriving early will also ensure that you get a good seat as we offer seats first come first serve. Also, you will be able to get your snack and beverage ahead of time.

 

Do I need to bring anything to a public event?

 

Just an open mind, seeking creativity, and a friend or two! We supply all the materials necessary for painting.

 

Is wine included? YES and NO (please read carefully)

 

For public venue events:

 

Menu purchases are expected for food and beverage from the restaurant or pub - this is not included in our ticket price.

 

For your home event:

 

You provide refreshments for your guests. Suggest that they bring a bottle to share.

 

What kind of paint do you use?

 

We use non-toxic acrylic paint. Acrylic paint is water-based, which means it will wash off with warm water and soap. We will provide aprons for the event, but we strongly recommend that you wear clothing that you do not mind getting a little paint on.

Do I need to provide chairs and tables at my private event?

Yes please.  Have the up and ready to use.  We will cover them with a black plastic table cloth unless you have other decorator designs. 

Do I need to paint the painting being taught?

 

We encourage creative expression in all forms! Feel free to modify the colors and style of the painting to match your personality or home décor.

 

Do I need to tip the artist or assistant?

 

Tips are much appreciated but certainly not expected. If you feel the artist or assistant has done a great job, then feel free to express your gratitude!

 

May I bring a non-painting guest to the event?

 

Seating is reserved for the registered attendees only. We do welcome walk-in painters to pay at the door if there is space available. Non-painting guests who wish to sit with you during the event may secure a seat for $10.00. However, this is not guaranteed, so we strongly recommend that your friends register beforehand.

 

Can I order food or beverages while at the event?

 

Absolutely! Events held at public venues, such as bars or pubs - you should arrive early to order your refreshments before we get started. Again, food and beverage are available for purchase at public venues; it is not included in our ticket price.

 

Can I bring children to the event?

 

Teens and pre-teens are okay to paint with a ticket purchase. But keep in mind that certain adult entertainment venues may not be suitable for teens. No babies or toddlers please at any adult events. We can accommodate kids at Junior paint parties.

 

Adult Venue (Bars and Strip Clubs): 21 and up. ID required. To respect the relationship with our venues and their policies, we require that all classes are 21+ and therefore anyone under the age of 21 may not attend restricted events. This is to ensure that we abide by the liquor licensing laws of the venues and the satisfaction of all guests attending the class.

 

Family Venue: Teens and pre-teen are always okay.

 

If you are interested in having children participate in these events, we can always service a kids party event with appropriate refreshments.
